Google reportedly considering Bend Data Center

According to the Bend Tech blog...

Fast on the heels of Facebook’s recent move into Prineville, Google appears set to make their own entry into the rapidly developing market for cheap, affordable, green power here in Central Oregon.

In a move inspired by the REI-Old Mill building deal, the City Council is asking that Google restore the Shed to it’s original condition as part of the deal.

Free Friday Workshops for Tomorrow, April 2nd

Here is the workshop schedule for tomorrow, April 2nd:

• Introduction to WordPress at Alpine (10 to 11am) - We'll be covering the basics of small site building and blogging using the world famous WordPress. What, Why, and How is a blog made? Learn to distribute your blog articles far and wide to Twitter, facebook, Google News, Yahoo, Digg, NewsGator, Technorati, and even iTunes.
   
• The Fresh Web (1 to 1:15) - What's New on the web this week. Get the scoop on emerging trends and look ahead toward some of the most interesting buzz in the industry.
   
• Center Stage Review (1:15pm to 2:00pm) - Bring lunch, a laptop, and learn how to manage your site using Alpine's Content Management System, Center Stage. See the built-in keyword analysis, suggestion, and redirect tools in action and learn how Center Stage makes search engine optimization a breeze.
