Alpine Workshops for Friday July 23rd

The schedule for this Friday, July 23rd:

• WordPress Basics (10 to 11am) - Brian will be covering the basics of small site building and blogging using the world famous WordPress. What, Why, and How is a blog made? Learn about the difference between a post and a page, upload images, and especially, how to write for the web.
• Monitoring the Social Media Buzz (11 to noon) - There is a conversation going on - "They" are "talking" about "you". Learn to eavesdrop, be proactive and respond nimbly by knowing how to listen online effectively. Alpine guest instructor, Chevy Pham will present some best practices, tools and techniques to help you tune in and "Grow Big Ears".
   
• The Fresh Web (noon to 12:15) - This week on the web. The web is an ever-changing, even accelerating, environment. Many of these changes affect you as a web author or manager. Morgan will help put these into perspective by presenting a short review of web news for the week ending July 23rd.

These workshops are free to the public and are located at the Alpine Internet Office in Bend's Mill Quarter.   790 SW Industrial Way.
