Tomorrow's Workshop Schedule

Here is the workshop schedule for tomorrow, Feb 12th:

• Introduction to WordPress at Alpine (10 to 11am) - Brian will be covering the basics of small site building and blogging using the world famous WordPress. What, Why, and How is a blog made? Learn about the difference between a post and a page, upload images, and especially, how to write for the web.
   
• Google Analytics Basics (11am to noon) - Clients are invited to join us and learn about Google Analytics.  Google Analytics is the system Alpine recommends implements, and supports to help track what visitors are doing on any of your web properties.  GA can help track activity on your site, blog, twitter postings, dealer listings, contact forms, and of course rainmaker emails.   In addition, you may track click sequences and visitor paths to identify and quantify the effectiveness of site changes.  This is an essential part of running your site.  Don't miss it. 
   
• Advanced Google Analytics (noon to 1) - Stay to hear Morgan, our Analytics Level 6 Wizard, discuss some of the more advanced GA techniques such as setting goals and calculating Return On Investment (ROI) automatically (even if you don't run a  traditional store).  Just for fun, we'll also learn how to "Seed" external links you might include in personal email stationery to measure salesperson effectiveness.  Andy Grove at Intel said "If you measure it, it will get done".  Let's see if measuring visitor activity will help us build better sites that generate better returns.
   
• Center Stage Review (1pm to 1:30pm) - Bring lunch, a laptop, and learn how to manage your site using Alpine's Content Management System, Center Stage. See the built-in keyword analysis, suggestion, and redirect tools in action and learn how Center Stage makes search engine optimization a breeze.  If you haven't been in for a while or have new job responsibilities that include Center Stage, please feel free to stop by.
