In essence, Alpine can build and run sites on the Amazon hardware and network. With this upgrade, clients benefit from AWS's "battle-tested" facilities, network, power, drives and many other components that contribute to the best uptime in the business. With this nearly infinite computing power at our disposal, we can turn up production, provisioning servers very rapidly.
This new environment has loads of benefits, but is also a little more expensive and has some limitations, so we are working on ways to make it more affordable and supportable. Call if you would like to know if your site is eligible and would benefit from this upgrade.
