Free Workshops for Friday, Feb 26th

Here is the workshop schedule for tomorrow, Feb 26th:

Introduction to WordPress at Alpine (10 to 11am) - We'll be covering the basics of small site building and blogging using the world famous WordPress. What, Why, and How is a blog made? Learn about the difference between a post and a page, upload images, and especially, how to write for the web.

Group Calendaring Techniques (11am to noon) - Drop in and learn how to use a group calendaring system like Google Apps. Learn how the pros set up and share calendars so your personal time and privacy is protected but still allow flexible scheduling of your available time. 

Blog Syndication - RSS, Feedburner, Connecting to External Services (noon to 1) - Ok, so you have a blog.  Now what?  Did you know that your blog can be "fed" to other services that will publish every article you write to a very broad audience?  Learn to distribute your blog articles far and wide to Twitter, facebook, Google News, Yahoo, Digg, NewsGator, Technorati, and even iTunes. 

The Fresh Web (1 to 1:15) - What's New on the web this week. Get the scoop on emerging trends and look ahead toward some of the most interesting buzz in the industry.

Center Stage Review (1:15pm to 2:00pm) - Bring lunch, a laptop, and learn how to manage your site using Alpine's Content Management System, Center Stage. See the built-in keyword analysis, suggestion, and redirect tools in action and learn how Center Stage makes search engine optimization a breeze. If you haven't been in for a while or have new job responsibilities that include Center Stage, please feel free to stop by.
